Agreement International Referees PWC 2025
Agreement between Partille World Cup and international referees traveling to Gothenburg
Welcome to officiate the world’s largest youth handball tournament!
For several years, we have collaborated with referees from around the world,
offering a unique opportunity to officiate international handball matches at
various levels.
Partille World Cup will take place from June 30th –July 5th, 2025.
For the 2025 tournament, we have refined the details and paid special attention to
your feedback regarding the referees' experience. We are pleased to present the following changes:
Match Fees
All matches are played 2 x 15 minutes. In the playoffs, matches in the B21, G21,
B18, and G18 classes will be 2 x 20 minutes.
2x15 min: 100 SEK/match
2x20 min: 130 SEK/match
Note: The fee listed is the amount per match after tax.
Partille World Cup does not cover additional costs that may occur in your own country, such as banking fees or taxes.
It is very important that your bank details are filled in correctly. (Name of Bank, IBAN, SWIFT/BIC and Tax Identification Number (TIN)).
We can’t guarantee your commission if there are incorrect numbers or names.
Partille World Cup also requires a copy of your passport (both sides, in high quality, full document visible).
All this information needs to be sent to [email protected] before the tournament.
Transfers and Check-In
If you're flying, it's very easy to take the airport bus to central Gothenburg. You are responsible for your own transfer to the Heden Center, where check-in will take place.
Match Cards
Before each match, you will receive a match card at the referee tent located near
each playing field. These cards must be completed correctly and returned to the referee tent after your matches. The match cards should include the correct final score, signatures from the respective team leaders and yourself, as well as any incidents from the match that need to be reported to the jury or competition committee. Please be aware that these match cards are the basis for your payment.
Referee Equipment
Each referee is responsible for bringing their own referee equipment, including: Whistle, watch (mobile phones must not be used for time or score keeping), cards, and additional gear and clothes for officiating.
Partille World Cup will provide a referee shirt for you to wear, but we highly recommend bringing extra gear.
Partille World Cup Pass – Referee
In addition to the match fee, we also offer:
• 15 meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from Tuesday breakfast to Saturday dinner
• Entrance to the finals
• Entrance to the leader's party on Thursday (referees under 18 years of age will have a pizza night)
• Free public transportation
• Subject to availability, we may also offer tickets to the opening ceremony, which will be confirmed no later than the day of the opening
Partille World Cup – Focus on Referee Development (new for 2025)
For the 2025 tournament, we will put significant focus on referee development.
Together with a few trained referee instructors and elite referees, we will focus
on guiding, coaching, and educating referees during the Partille World Cup.
If you are interested in taking part in this and receiving feedback on your matches,
please contact us at Partille World Cup for more details. (No extra cost)
The responsible instructors for this education are Casper Axell and Eldin Bitic from “Swedish Handball Väst”.

• Slottsskogens Hostel (New for 2025): 500 SEK for the whole week
• Quality Hotel Panorama: 750 SEK/night (Single room)
• Quality Hotel Panorama: 1350 SEK/night (Double room)
Information about staying at Slottsskogens Hostel
At Slottsskogens Hostel, there is an option to stay for a one-time deduction of 500 SEK at a newly renovated and popular hostel in central Gothenburg.
The hostel features 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-bed rooms, bed linens, bathroom, breakfast every day, laundry facilities, and staff available 24/7. Availability is subject to capacity (a total of 140 beds), and the 500 SEK will be deducted from your payment for the matches you will officiate during the week.
Note: Accommodation at the hostel is available from June 30 – July 5 only.
Information about staying at the Clubhouse
Of course, our previous accommodation option is still available.
Here, 20–60 people stay in a clubhouse. Partille World Cup provides bed linens and mattresses, and accommodation hosts are available 24/7 to help you.
This option is free of charge and the cabins may be available from Sunday, June 29, to Sunday, July 6. Breakfast is served at a nearby school kitchen.
This is a popular option if you are traveling in a large group from the same country or region. Partille World Cup provides mattresses, sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and blankets, but you may bring your own.
The Clubhouses are provided by the local municipalities, and the rules of conduct also apply to referees. Violations of these rules may lead to eviction from the clubhouse and potential charges for damages.
Please fill in your arrival details on your profile after booking your trip to Gothenburg.
Information about Hotel Accommodation
Valid from June 30 – July 5 at Quality Hotel Panorama. Single and double rooms
are available. If you arrive earlier, please inform us in advance so we can add an extra night. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to extend your stay until Sunday after the tournament ends, as most hotels in the city are fully booked due to other events. If you have booked a hotel and later decide not to stay, you MUST notify us before April 1, 2025.
